These terms cover the bedrud.org website and the public demo instance at bedrud.xyz. If you download and self-host Bedrud, the Apache 2.0 license governs your use of the software.
Using Bedrud Means You Accept These Terms
By visiting bedrud.org or using the public demo, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the demo. Simple.
What Bedrud Provides
We provide this website with documentation and download links, and a public demo instance for evaluating the software. The actual video meeting software is open-source under the Apache 2.0 license. Download it, modify it, run it yourself.
Accounts
The website doesn't require accounts. The demo doesn't require accounts. Self-hosted instances may have their own account systems - that's your call, since you run the server.
Don't Abuse the Demo
Don't use the public demo for illegal content, spam, harassment, or anything that degrades the experience for others. We reserve the right to remove abusive users from the demo room. This doesn't apply to self-hosted instances - you set your own rules.
Open Source License
Bedrud is Apache 2.0 licensed. Use it, modify it, distribute it - including commercially. The Bedrud name and logo are trademarks of theMadOrg. You can use them to refer to the software, but not to misrepresent your relationship with the project.
Access
We can revoke access to the public demo for abuse. We can take down the website if needed. But once you've downloaded the binary, it's yours under the Apache 2.0 license. We can't revoke that.
No Warranty
Bedrud is provided as-is. We don't guarantee it works perfectly in every environment. We're not liable for downtime, data loss, or any damages from using the software. See the Apache 2.0 license for the full legal text.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. For disputes, we prefer resolving things through GitHub issues or direct communication before involving lawyers.
Updates
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date on this page. Continued use of the demo or website after changes means you accept them.
